This Is When We Will Get Out Of This Down Turn | Cathie Wood
In an interview with Bloomberg Markets and Finance, CEO and CIO of Ark Invest Cathie Wood discussed the economy and two of her top holdings, Coinbase and Tesla. The state of the economy has caused many pundits and analysts to debate whether we are in a recession, when we can expect recovery, and most importantly, what will the Fed do next? Analysts and investors, such as Greg Foss, believe that the Fed is stuck with interest rates and cannot go too much higher. Cathie, however, sees it differently. Cathie believes we are in for higher interest rates going into 2023 which will cause deflation instead of inflation. Cathie Wood stated that she is sure we are in a recession, but this time it’s different. In Cathie’s view, everything that is stirring up the economic slowdown stems from supply chain and inventory problems. But despite the economic difficulties, Cathie believes we will be out on the road to recovery as sooner than most will think and that innovation will lead the way.
