The group behind ApeCoin (APE) has donated $1 million to help the event of the Ethereum blockchain, as per a latest voting proposal.
The community-led initiative titled “I don’t hate apes, I simply need them to fund public items!” referencing a tweet by Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin — obtained a majority of the votes in favor of the donation.
APE is a well-liked cryptocurrency linked to the Bored Ape Yacht Membership —a group of distinctive digital ape NFTs. The $1 million donation from the ApeCoin group will increase the continuing improvement of the Ethereum community — which has been essential to the expansion of the complete cryptocurrency ecosystem.
The voting proposal obtained 15,772 votes — with 7,286 votes in favor, 4,737 towards, and three,749 abstaining.
ApeCoin group donation targets
