Bankman-Fried personally donated $40 million to largely Democratic candidates, whereas different FTX executives, together with co-CEO Ryan Salame, donated to Republicans. A few of these candidates, together with Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), who obtained not less than $16,600 from Bankman-Fried, are speeding to scrub their fingers of the affiliation with Bankman-Fried’s suspect cash donations, promising to donate the cash to charity.
