Hoak’s admission comes at some point after Cypher’s founder Barrett accused him of systematically draining troves of precious cryptos from the protocol’s redemption contract over a number of months, starting in December. Citing on-chain knowledge, Barrett stated Hoak finally despatched belongings value round $300,000 (at present market costs) to Binance, presumably to money them out.
