Paysafe, a specialized payments firm, has selected co-founder of Ureeka, Rob Gatto, as its first Chief Revenue Officer.
Gatto is to lead the company’s international sales efforts across a range of top industries such as crypto and fintech.
Paysafe in a statement said Gatto will report to its Chief Executive Officer, Bruce Lowthers.
Speaking about his appointment, Gatto noted that he was excited to be joining the firm “at such an exciting time”.
He added that he was looking forward to helping the specialized payment company gain “solid growth”.
“I believe Paysafe is uniquely positioned to offer an unrivaled end-to-end payment offering to both consumers and merchants in the specialized industries it focuses on,” Gatto said.
On his part, Lowthers described Gatto as “an outstanding leader” with an excellent track record in executing businesss strategies.
“His commercial acumen, tech savviness, and deep understanding of both market and customer needs will make him an invaluable member of the team as we transform the business and execute on our growth plan,” Lowther said.
The Veteran
According to Paysafe, Gatto is bringing decades of industry experience to the role.
The payments firm noted that the industry veteran has experience driving “transformational growth and ‘go to market’ functions for both private and public businesses of all sizes.”
Before his appointment, Gatto was a Board Member at RevTrax, an advertising services firm that connects brand engagement to any purchase across the marketing ecosystem.
Before then, for over five years, he was an Advisor at Ocient, a software development firm that enables organizations to explore and interact with hyperscale data sets quickly and cost effectively.
Between January 2015 and March 2016, Gatto was the Senior Vice President of Global Sales at NeuStar, a real-time cloud-based information services and analytics company.
Before serving in this capacity, he served as the Vice President of Media and Advertising at NeuStar for two years and five months.
Gatto was also once the CEO of PointRoll, a provider of digital marketing technology.
PointRoll is now a subsidiary of Sizmek, a company that fuels digital advertising campaigns for advertisers and agencies around the world.
