“When Coinbase has tried to do exactly that, to speak about how we may register as a broker-dealer or an [alternative trading system] and even as a [national securities exchange] after months and months of dialogue, we’re merely dismissed with no response or any counter proposal or concepts getting back from the SEC,” stated Paul Grewal, Coinbase’s chief authorized officer.
