On two events, the US authorities worker who doubled as an FBI agent acquired bribes totaling $61,000 in Bitcoin to disclose confidential details about the prosecuted Chinese language firm.

U.S. Lawyer Basic Merrick Garland stated:

“This was an egregious try by PRC intelligence officers to protect a PRC-based firm from accountability and to undermine the integrity of our judicial system.”

The DOJ reiterated its dedication to combat any try by the Chinese language authorities to undermine the legal justice system of the USA.

Guochun He and Zheng Wang has been charged with cash laundering and will resist 60 and 20 years of imprisonment respectively if confirmed responsible.
